Buckley & Flintshire – Murata
Buckley lies 18km west of Chester in northern Wales. It has an area of 12.24 km2 and a population of 13,000. It lies amid beautiful countryside and is famous for producing pottery and its brick factory.
Both towns share industries which was an important factor when they decided to twin with each other, and they started the Wales-Buckley Interchange.
Buckley and Murata use the exchange not only to further learning about each other for future friendship and contributing to world peace, but also in order to better understand their cultures, sports and the local economy. People from both towns regularly visit each other, and the twinning has been very successful so far.
